Last week Ministry Outreach Foundation (MOF) purchased the Stephen Olford Center (SOC) which is located in Memphis, TN. The property was purchased from Union University, who previously used the SOC as a satellite campus.
The Olford Center was first utilized as a ministry training center in 1988 when Olford Ministries initially purchased the central office building which had previously been a residential home/estate. Since that time, Olford Ministries International (OMI) added several buildings and improvements to the almost 19 acre parcel. With the merger between Union University and OMI in 2006, the property was transferred to Union as a component of the transaction. We are grateful for the nine years of exemplary Christian Education which has been conducted on the Olford Center campus.
Now, MOF will continue to utilize and expand the Stephen Olford Center as a gospel ministry training center, in affinity to the vision of Dr. Stephen and Heather Olford for this parcel. Dr. David and Ellen Olford are partners with MOF in the recalibrating and repositioning of the Stephen Olford Center as an incubator and epic center for training and equipping in Biblical Proclamation and Great Commission strategies/execution. Reaching the nations will be at the heart of the Stephen Olford Center ministry thrust. “Preach the Word and Reach the World” continues to be the theme.
Rev. Richard L. Hamlet Shares His Vision for the SOC
“This is a dream come true in my ministry calling. It was 20 years ago that I answered God’s call in my life to preach the gospel, and my memories are still fresh on the weekly intensive training I received under the instruction and mentorship of Drs. Stephen and David Olford in the Olford Center campus facilities. Now, our vision is to continue the legacy of the Olford family and multiply the efficacy and utilization of this ministry training center for the glory of God and the advance of His Kingdom to the ends of the earth.”
