Two weeks ago MOF and Childhood Evangelism Fellowship partnered together to bring a backyard Bible club to the residents at MOF’s Bellemont Apartments in Metairie, LA. Additionally, members from a local church–Memorial Baptist–located just down the street from Bellemont, helped facilitate the week-long VBS.
Although the weather was rainy, we saw about 10 kids participate, 4 of which decided to get baptized at Memorial Baptist Church the following Sunday!
The kids enjoyed congregating together and interacting with Ms. Chris and her helpers. They went on walks, had discussions, and learned a lot of new Bible stories. Their favorite activity by far was story time!
Pastor Dan, from Memorial Baptist Church, has been a huge help to us in enriching the Bellemont families’ lives and helping us promote MOF’s mission to minister to the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of our residents in addition to providing affordable housing.
We’re so glad to have been able to work with CEF again this year and hope they visit again next year!
