Residents at MOF’s Suffolk Manor apartments in Lake Charles, LA, have had a summer full of ministry, classes, food, and fun!
All kinds of free classes were provided to keep our children learning, growing, and active in positive ways while on summer break.
Some kids took swimming lessons while others tried their hand at karate. Music classes were offered as well as praise dance lessons. All classes except the swimming were offered right on site so the most children would be able to benefit from attending.
Childhood Evangelism Fellowship came to Suffolk to lead the children in a week-long VBS, teaching the children about the Lord and His Word.
Children carpooled offsite to participate in a city-wide revival called “R.I.O.T.”, which stands for Revival in Our Town. The American Press, a local newspaper, even wrote an article about the revival!
And, of course, the children ate! Free food was provided at many of these events.
Thank you to the army of volunteers who ministered to our residents this summer!
