As on most of our properties, residents at MOF’s Forrest Cove apartments in Atlanta, GA, are offered an array of services and programming to help them grow in a holistic way.

emotional

On-site Bible studies, church services, and outreach programs address spiritual needs. Our food pantry meets physical needs. Community activities and block parties promote social wellness. And our preschool class for 3-4 year olds and tutoring program meet educational needs. All of these services contribute to the emotional well-being of our residents.

One example of a family benefiting from our complete approach to ministry at Forrest Cove is having their emotional, educational, financial, and social needs met all at the same time. Here is their story:

When we started the preschool class, each parent filled out an application that includes summaries of their current life situations. One mom let us know that in May, 2014, she was shot by her son’s father. He is now incarcerated. As a result of her injuries, this mom lost her job, the family became homeless, and they lost their car. The family now has a place to stay, and they are on the journey to stability. We are excited to be able to support and pray for this family on their journey.

Unfortunately, stories like this one are not uncommon in our field of ministry. However, we are seeing lives change and people are experiencing Christ across the country, and for that we are thankful!
