We have so many great stories to report, especially around the time of school starting, that it is hard for us to post them all! We thought it would be a good time to post this Back-to-School post because of the neat way the story didn’t end the first week of school.
Like a lot of communities, our residents at Suffolk Manor Apartments in Lake Charles, LA, were the beneficiaries of a church-sponsored “Back to School Drive” in August.
For His Grace Baptist Church solicited donations from church ministry partners and members in order to provide our resident children with necessary supplies to help them be successful in school. The church distributed backpacks, uniforms, school supplies and personal hygiene items for utilization by complex youth students.
What is different about this “Back to School Drive” is that more items were donated than could be used by the students at our property. So the complex decided to store them and make them available to our students throughout the school year for replenishing necessities!
We’re excited to support our students year round as they pursue their educations!
